The community of Montgomery Village will play host to its annual Independence Day parade and celebration on July 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 20020 Montgomery Village Ave, eventually making its way down Apple Ridge Road and toward the parking lot of the Apple Ridge Recreation Area.
The celebration portion starts at 10:30 a.m. with a concert band performance, lawn games and carnival rides.
Organizers for the festivities say residents interested in joining the parade can do so by arriving at 9 a.m. to register at the church. National Harbor

Celebrate America's 250th birthday with a vibrant weekend of waterfront activities including a Veterans' Maker's Market, live music from the School of Rock, and boating fun on the Potomac. While there are no fireworks, families can enjoy shopping at Tanger National Harbor, a outdoor screening of Back to the Future, and a Super Hero Summer experience at Gaylord National Resort.

The&nbsp;Montgomery County&nbsp;250th "Shine Together" Independence Day celebration will be held at Albert Einstein High School on July 3, with festivities running from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Attendees can expect live music to start at 7 p.m., with fireworks scheduled to kick off at 9:15 p.m. Organizers say the start time for the fireworks display&nbsp;may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
Food vendors will be on scene and residents are allowed to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers. No pets, alcoholic beverages, or smoking is permitted.
"Sign language interpreter services and other auxiliary aids or services will be provided upon request with as much notice as possible, preferably at least three business days before the event," reads the county announcement.
On-site parking will only be available for individuals with disabilities, but free parking and shuttle service will be available at Westfield Wheaton (11160 Veirs Mill Road) from 6:30 p.m. Signs will be posted for event parking and shuttles.
Officials warn that anyone who parks at the mall before 6:30 p.m. runs the risk of being towed.
