December is for Art Lovers

A December to remember especially for art lovers and art collectors. International expressionist artist Vian Shamounki Borchert is as busy as can be in her favorite month of December. Not only does the artist love the spirit and the ornamental decor and festivities of the holidays, she is in multiple major art exhibitions and museums around the world.

• Vian is currently getting ready for the biggest contemporary art show and expo in the whole year and in the whole world. It is of course "Art Basel Miami Beach". V. Borchert will be showing her latest abstract and contemporary paintings that she made especially for Art Basel Miami Beach 2017 at Spectrum. Her paintings will be on exhibit at the Spectrum Art Show with "Irreversible Projects" at Booth 307 from Dec. 6-10, 2017. If you are in Miami or going there for the major art show and all its wonderful activities, make it a point to stop by and check out Booth 307 at Spectrum! The artwork there is a feast for the eyes! • After Miami, Vian will have her latest winter landscape paintings depicting snow mountains at the stylish and modern art gallery "Aurero Roma" in Rome, Italy. Borchert made these paintings especially for the winter season and for this wonderfully curated winter group art exhibition that consists of a number of renowned international artists from countries such as France, Spain and the USA. The exhibit is titled "DREAMSCAPE" and the opening reception will be on Saturday Dec. 16 from 5-8 PM. The exhibition will be on view for the winter season. If you are in Rome visiting its major tourist sights such as the Colosseum, Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain, make sure to also do something artsy and fun by visiting the gallery which is located in the historic heart of Rome just a short walk of a few blocks from the Colosseum.

• Further south in the globe, Vian has one of her abstracted figurative painting depicting a male model in mainly bluesy tones at the acclaimed and major contemporary art museum "The National Gallery of Fine Art" in Amman, Jordan. The oil painting is part of the "The Contemporary Art Exhibition" that is currently on view. Furthermore, Vian's painting is in the permanent collection of the museum.

• On a local note, Borchert currently has a number of her latest small winter and fall landscape paintings available for purchase and perfect for the holiday shopping season on display at the historic Glen Echo Park's Popcorn and Stone Tower gallery in Glen Echo, MD. • In Gaithersburg, Vian has her "Woods" painting depicting the beauty of nature in the woodsy Gaithersburg area on exhibit in the "Celebrating 15 Art Exhibition" at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn Gallery in Kentlands, Gaithersburg, MD. In fact, Vian and her "Woods" painting were recently featured by NBC4 Washington's Molette Green on her social media site during her visit along with the NBC4 crew covering the art exhibition and the art activities at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn.
