Donation Nation Inc.: Thank You for Going Green!

An open letter to our donors! We thank you for an exciting 2017 and hope we can have your continual support going into 2018!

To our valued Donors,

On behalf of Donation Nation Inc., we thank you for your support of our mission and services, and thank you for making a conscious choice of reducing your carbon footprint by choosing to go green! 2017 has been finalized; a 365-page chapter has become imprinted into our very own history. As we turn the page to 2018, as an organization, we are left with numbers, memories, and achievements that we could not have accomplished without you!

Because of you:

  • 1,262,625 pounds of household and commercial items were diverted from the landfill.
  • 202,020 square feet of household and business items were collected in 2017.
  • $51,795 in household items were donated to our 15 different non-profit partners.
  • 3,016 separate pieces of furniture were given to our non-profit partners.

Due to your support and choice to reduce your carbon footprint, we made our community a little greener, diverted over a million pounds of unwanted items from going to the landfill, and furnished hundreds of homes in the process.

Together, we improved the day to day experiences of our most vulnerable members of our community. We furnished homes of immigrants fleeing the persecution of our world history, homes of single mothers struggling to get by; we furnished homeless individuals transferring from shelters to permanent housing, trying to find stability. Your donated appliances, furniture, clothing and excess items have brought dignity and security to individuals and families whom once had nothing. You sent our communities most vulnerable a message, a message that says that no matter who you are; if you are struggling; if you are down on your luck; if you have a mental illness or addiction, our community has not forgotten about you. We have always been stronger together.

"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." โ€“ FDR

We are so grateful for your support, and hope we have your continued support moving into 2018 and the years beyond!

Sincerely,

Charles Bailey

President, Donation Nation
