Entries Needed For Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade

Sign up now for the Gaithersburg Labor Day parade. Early registrants will have application fees waived.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — After a two-year hiatus, the Gaithersburg Labor Day Paradereturns to the streets of Olde Towne Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. Now in its 84th year, this rain or shine event will feature high school marching bands, dance groups, costumed characters, antique cars and fire engines, equestrian units, clowns and more.

The city is looking for community groups and other organizations to march in the parade and possibly even win an award. Organizations and individual volunteers also are needed to distribute program booklets, help with the parade line-up and participate as characters in the parade.

Registration forms are available online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov. Application fees are waived for early registration received by Aug. 12. A $25 fee must accompany all applications received between Aug. 13-18. No submissions will be accepted after 5 p.m. Aug. 18.
