Ride Allegheny is a 320 mile bicycling fund raiser starting Thursday October 6th on the Great Allegheny Passage in Pittsburgh PA, connecting with the C&O Canal Trail in Cumberland MD and finishing Sunday October 9th at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg Maryland. The total ride will take place over four days averaging 80 miles a days. Registered riders will have three options to choose from:
- Option 1: 320 mile ride (4 days) from Pittsburgh, PA, to Gaithersburg, MD. This option will be limited to the first 50 registered riders due to overnight accommodation limitations in Ohiopyle.
- Option 2: 163 mile ride (2 days) starting in Cumberland, MD, on Saturday October 8th and ending in Gaithersburg, MD.
- Option 3: 80 mile "roundtrip" ride beginning and ending at Smokey Glen Farm in Darnestown,MD. Riders will bike on Sunday October 9th approximately 40 miles to Brunswick, MD -- meet the larger group for lunch -- then ride back to Smokey Glen for the end of ride picnic celebration
