Gaithersburg Celebrates 'Character Counts!' Month

The City of Gaithersburg will host a variety of activities to celebrate 20 years as a 'Character Counts!' City in October.

Gaithersburg, Md. - October is national CHARACTER COUNTS!® month, and this year it’s especially noteworthy as Gaithersburg celebrates 20 years as a CHARACTER COUNTS! city. This national ethics program, built upon the foundation of the Six Pillars of Character, was adopted by the City in 1996 and has been infused in educational, recreational and community-based initiatives ever since. The Six Pillars are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

The City of Gaithersburg is hosting and sponsoring a variety of activities to celebrate CHARACTER COUNTS! month. Some are open to the public; others are open to select audiences. Details can be found here or call 301-258-6395 x3.
