Gaithersburg Crew Beat Rockville In Snow Road-eo
Gaithersburg wins 'challenge,' Dikeman and Morgan named 'champions' of winter warmup against Rockville.
From the City of Gaithersburg: The City of Gaithersburg “Snow Road-eo” returned to the Activity Center at Bohrer Park on Thursday, October 19, 2017. This year’s team-building event also featured the best teams from the City of Rockville and the City of Gaithersburg facing off in a jurisdictional challenge, in which Gaithersburg took top honors. This annual event is geared towards snow removal preparedness for the upcoming winter weather season.
The new Challenge consisted of four teams each from Gaithersburg and Rockville competing in the obstacle course only. A cumulative team score determined the winner. The winning trophy, dubbed as the “Sidney Cup” this year, was presented by County Councilmember Sidney Katz, whose district spans both Gaithersburg and Rockville.
For the Snow Road-eo Championship portion, City of Gaithersburg teams competed in timed, scored events that included a written test, pre-trip truck inspections and an obstacle course. Richy Dikeman and Paul Morgan came in first place, followed by Jacob Fagan and Brian Stream in second, and Jason Braithwaite and Jim Farrell in third.
