Gaithersburg HomeGoods Closes After Roof Collapse: MCFRS
A HomeGoods store in Gaithersburg was forced to close after its roof partially collapsed and damaged a natural gas line.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg HomeGoods is temporarily closed after its roof partially collapsed and damaged a natural gas line. Montgomery County fire officials are blaming the collapse on water accumulation from this week's storm.
The popular discount furniture store is located at 602 Quince Orchard Rd., near ALDI and Buffalo Wild Wings. No one was injured when the roof collapsed, according to Pete Piringer, spokesman for the county's fire department. But the damage has forced the retailer to temporarily close while it makes repairs.
It is not immediately known when HomeGoods will reopen.
