Gaithersburg Man Killed, Police Seek Public's Help Finding Shooter
Montgomery County police said the shooting occurred Thursday morning in the Willow Ridge neighborhood of Gaithersburg.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Police are asking for the public's help locating the suspect involved in the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old Gaithersburg man.
According to Montgomery County police, the shooting occurred on Thursday shortly before 6 a.m. in the 12500 block of Carrington Hill Drive.
When officers arrived, they found Christopher Gove of Gaithersburg inside his home, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Gove was transported to an area hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead.

Shortly after locating Gove, officers were sent to the area of West Montgomery Avenue and Darnestown Road for a reported single-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, officers located Gove’s unoccupied black Toyota Highlander.
At this time, no suspect is in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.

Detectives are asking anyone in the Willow Ridge neighborhood, as well as the area of West Montgomery Avenue and Darnestown Road, to check their surveillance or Ring camera footage from the early morning hours of Thursday, April 9, for any suspicious activity, including any footage of a black Toyota Highlander or a possible suspect entering or exiting the vehicle.
