Gaithersburg McDonald's Robbed, Cash Stolen From Register: Police

A man went behind the counter at a Gaithersburg McDonald's and stole from the register after he ordered his food, police said.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man placed an order at a Gaithersburg McDonald's Wednesday afternoon, handed over cash to pay for his order and then went behind the counter and pushed the employee working the register out of the way once they opened the drawer, police said in a news release.

Police did not say how much the man stole from the register. Authorities called it a "strong-armed robbery."
