Gaithersburg Ranks In Top 10 Most Diverse Cities In America

GAITHERSBURG, MD — According to a new report by the personal financial website WalletHub, Gaithersburg is the seventh most diverse city in the U.S.

WalletHub's analysts compared more than 500 of the largest cities across the U.S. to determine the most diverse cities. They examined socioeconomic diversity, cultural diversity, economic diversity, household diversity and religious diversity.

The researchers categorized each city according to the following population-size guidelines: large cities have more than 300,000 residents; midsize cities have 100,000 to 300,000 residents and small cities have fewer than 100,000 residents.

WalletHub determined these are the top-ten, most diverse large cities in the U.S.:

1. New York, NY

2. Jersey City, NJ

3. Houston, TX

4. Dallas, TX

5. Silver Spring, MD

6. Aurora, IL

7. Gaithersburg, MD

8. Los Angeles, CA

9. Germantown, MD

10. Long Beach, CA
