Gaithersburg Woman Charged With Killing Mother: Police
Tiffany Zhang was arrested Monday after authorities said she called police to tell them she killed her mother and left her body in a field.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg woman is facing a first-degree murder charge after police said she killed her mother and left her body in a field.
Tiffany Zhang, 29, was arrested Monday after Montgomery County police said she called authorities shortly before 10 a.m. and told them she killed her mother, 63-year-old Guichun Hu, the previous day and that Hu’s body was outside their home in a nearby grass field.
Police responded to the home in the 19400 block of Olive Tree Way, where they met Zhang outside. Police located Hu, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the official cause and manner of death.
