Gaithersburg Woman Dies in Crash, Wheaton Driver Injured: Police
A Gaithersburg woman who was a passenger in an Acura that collided with a Wheaton man's vehicle died from her injuries in the carsh.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg woman was killed and a Wheaton driver was hospitalized in a crash Tuesday, according to Montgomery County Police. The accident happened about 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of Snouffer School Road and Centerway Road.
Investigators say a 2000 Acura TL was making a left turn from northbound Snouffer School Road onto westbound Centerway Road and a 2000 Dodge Durango was southbound on Snouffer School Road approaching Centerway Road. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the Acura, Faisal Munir Dasti, 42, of Brenish Drive in Gaithersburg, was not hurt in the crash. The front seat passenger, Sultana Firdous Dasti, 71, of Game Preserve Road in Gaithersburg, was taken to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.

The driver of the Durango, James Rudnick II, 46, of Randolph Road in Wheaton, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
