Grant Funds Available for Watershed Restoration Projects

The City of Gaithersburg and the Chesapeake Bay Trust will be holding an information workshop on grant funding Feb. 7.

From the City of Gaithersburg: The City of Gaithersburg and the Chesapeake Bay Trust (CBT) are hosting an informational workshop about grant funding available to help protect and restore the City’s waterways. It will take place on Tuesday, February 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 S. Frederick Avenue, next to Gaithersburg High School. Admission is free. Reservations are requested by February 6 to ahuntzinger@cbtrust.org.

A funding opportunity to support watershed restoration projects is available through the CBT. Anyone is welcome to attend the workshop, but grant applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations such as local watershed groups, community associations, service and civic groups, faith-based organizations, and others.

Representatives will be available at the workshop to explore project ideas and answer questions about the application process.
