Healthcare for the Holidays launched in Olney this weekend. The new Organizing for Action (OFA) campaign was introduced to a crowded house eager to hear more about the initiative aimed at enrolling loved ones, friends and neighbors!
"What better peace of mind for the year ahead than to know your loved ones are enrolled under the Affordable Care Act," says Neeta Datt, OFA Montgomery County Team Lead.
Individuals enrolled by the December 15, 2013 will receive coverage starting in January 2014.
OFA trainer, Anatole Jenkins was on-hand to introduce the new enrollment campaign, and to discuss Obamacare, "It's important to remember that healthcare is so much more than a website," he said.
Jenkins reminded people that Maryland has it's own online healthcare exchange which is functioning smoothly and with all the benefits of the federal website but without the problems.
The Maryland Obamacare Health Exchange can be found at: www.marylandhealthconnection.gov or call 1-855-642-8572, 1-855-642-8573 (TTY).
