Man Charged With Possessing, Distributing Child Porn: MD Police
A Gaithersburg man was arrested after authorities found sexually explicit pictures and videos of children on his electronic devices.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg man faces child pornography charges after authorities found sexually explicit pictures and videos of juveniles at his residence, Maryland State Police said.
Andrzej Piwowarski, 43, was charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and seven counts of possession of child pornography, court records show.
According to officials, the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force turned their attention toward Piwowarski in February while conducting an online investigation for offenders sharing child pornography.

A search of Piwowarski's residence Wednesday turned up a laptop and a tablet, a police spokeswoman told Patch. A preliminary forensic review of his electronic devices revealed multiple child pornography files.
The files, according to the police spokeswoman, contained inappropriate pictures and videos of children. It is not yet known if Piwowarski has a relationship with any of the victims.

The devices are being analyzed by the Maryland State Police Digital Forensics Laboratory.
The Gaithersburg resident is scheduled to appear in court on May 17.
