Navy Federal Celebrates First Branch Opening in 2015
Gaithersburg location is home of 260th branch

VIENNA, Va. (February 26, 2015) – Navy Federal Credit Union, the world’s largest credit union, celebrated its first branch opening of 2015 in Gaithersburg, Md., this morning.
The new branch is near shops and restaurants in the Downtown Crown Shopping Center, and serves approximately 14,200 members living in the region. The branch is one of 44 branches in the DC metro, Maryland and Northern Virginia market.
“Being in the heart of Gaithersburg allows our staff to serve members who live nearby,” said Joy Paxton, Navy Federal branch manager. “The location provides a sense of community and we feel very much at home, and we want our members to have that same experience.”

Ryan Spiegel, president of the Gaithersburg City Council, presented a proclamation from the Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg stating February 26, 2015 as “Navy Federal Credit Union Day,” in the City of Gaithersburg.
The 5,487 square foot branch has a larger branch space with an interactive kiosk, tablets and a Kid Zone. It offers a full range of products and services, including a full-service walk-up ATM. Lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new location is at 104 Ellington Boulevard, Gaithersburg, Md., 20878.
