Last fall, NerdWallet, a website dedicated to providing information that helps users make informed financial decisions, published the top ten places in Maryland that are best for young families.
Our state is already primed for excellent family life and is a great place to ‘settle down’. With Washington D.C. and Baltimore central to the state, as well as ample employment opportunities throughout, Maryland is ideal for both new beginnings and long-term investments.
To determine rank on the list, NerdWallet asked three questions about each town:

Not surprisingly, Frederick, which encompasses Urbana and the Villages of Urbana community, ranked among the top ten. The public schools in the area received a positive ranking as reported by NerdWallet, which contributed to the overall high rating. At Villages of Urbana, our dedication to adequate and proximate education is evident. Centerville Elementary School, Urbana Middle School and Urbana High School are all within walking distance to our community.
Affordability is always on the mind of any homebuyer, especially first-time buyers or those with plans to start a family. And not only should a home be affordable, but it should also include everything a family is looking for. Buyers today want spacious floor plans, granite countertops, hardwood flooring and more in a home that’s priced perfectly for them – and the townhome models at Villages of Urbana definitely deliver!
