Reward For Escaped VA Inmate Increased To $20K: U.S. Marshals

WASHINGTON, DC — Federal and local authorities on Thursday continued to search for a 21-year-old Virginia Department of Corrections escapee wanted in connection with an armed carjacking in Montgomery County, Maryland, last month.

The U.S. Marshals increased the reward for information leading to Naseem Roulack's capture a day earlier, bringing the combined reward to $20,000.

Roulack has been on the run from federal authorities since Aug. 12. He is facing kidnapping, armed robbery, armed carjacking, first-degree assault and vehicle theft charges in connection with the carjacking in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Roulack was serving a 13-year sentence on charges of aggravated malicious wounding, grand larceny, and hit-and-run when he escaped from the supervision of two security officers while seeking medical treatment at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital in Henrico County, Virginia, according to police and the Virginia Department of Corrections.

Roulack is described as a Black man who is 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighs 225 pounds. he has black hair and brown eyes, police said.

He has four identified tattoos, according to the Virginia Department of Corrections. One on his chest reads “Marie,” one on his left arm reads “RIP Ish”, one on his right cheek reads “Cut Throat” and one on his right arm reads “Faith Is Seeing Light With Your Heart When All Your Eyes See Is Darkness.”
