Silver Alert Canceled For Missing Gaithersburg Woman: UPDATE

A Silver Alert has been canceled for a 73-year-old woman who was reported missing from Gaithersburg on Dec. 17.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — In a Tuesday afternoon update, Montgomery County officials say Sydney Morse has been located and is safe. Police have canceled a Silver Alert for the 73-year-old woman from Gaithersburg.


(Original post) GAITHERSBURG, MD — Police have issued a Silver Alert for a 73-year-old Gaithersburg resident who has dementia.

Montgomery County Police said Sydney Morse was last known to be at a local Safeway at 20211 Goshen Rd at about 7 p.m. on Monday. Morse planned on driving home from the store but didn't return, according to authorities.

Morse, who lives on Mattingly Terrace, is described as a five-foot-four, 114-pound white female with blue eyes and brown hair. Police said she was last seen wearing a gray zip-up hoodie and black leggings.

Officials said Morse drives a silver 2005 Infinity FX35 (a crossover SUV) with Maryland tags: 27062M1.

Anyone with information regarding Sydney Morse's whereabouts or anyone who sees her vehicle is asked to call 911.
