MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Thinking about getting a rabbit? Now's the time, as the Montgomery County Animal Shelter is running a one-week promotion from Nov. 3 to 9, waiving the rabbit adoption fee. Anyone who submits an adoption questionnaire will get a free adoption voucher that will work through the end of the month.

"Rabbits make excellent pets, have lots of personality, and can even be litterbox trained," the shelter said in the announcement. "MCASAC currently has 25 rabbits available for adoption. The shelter has had to use additional rooms to house the rabbits as the small animal adoption room is at capacity."

There are 25 rabbits available for adoption at the shelter. Click on each rabbit's name to learn more about them. (Some rabbits not pictured).
