Spring Arts & Art Classes

Spring time is a great time to activate the arts within you and become more creative! To become more informed about the arts and especially about the local DC / DMV area art scene, it is good to become acquainted with the major artists and art educators that make this area more creative and more artistic. Artists who push the limits and make their community a prettier and more connected one through their arts, expertise and their extensive art education and knowledge. Hence, international artist, art educator and Corcoran graduate Vian Borchert has an array of art exhibits and art classes' offerings for the Spring time.

Currently, her ongoing solo art exhibition titled "ABSTRACT IMAGINATION" is on view at The Framer's Choice Gallery in the heart of downtown Kentlands, Gaithersburg. The exhibition consists of around 30 of Borchert's latest abstract paintings derived form her imagination and observation on the nature that surrounds her within her environment. The gallery is open daily and attendance to the exhibition is for free. The exhibition runs till end of March. Be sure to check out this wonderfully modern art exhibition!

Moreover, around town and specifically in Montgomery county, Borchert has one of her latest abstract watercolor paintings on display at "Influences: New Work by Faculty & Students Art Exhibition". The exhibit pairs an art instructor work along with their choice of one of their student's artwork done within the class that the instructor offers at Glen Echo Park. The exhibition is at the Popcorn Gallery in the historic Glen Echo Park located at: 7300 MacArthur Blvd.Glen Echo, MD 20812. The exhibit is till March 25.

After Spring break, Borchert will be offering the following two morning art classes at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn from early April till early May:

Two morning classes a the Gaithersburg Arts Barn on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

"Acrylic Painting" and a "Drawing" class - classes are for adults. All levels of experience are welcome.

* Borchert will also be offering a morning Watercolor painting class at the Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo, MD.

The class starts after Spring break from April 16 till June 11 (8 classes). Class is for adults.

"The Beginning to Intermediate Watercolour Painting" class is on Monday mornings from 9:30AM - 12PM.
