Toddler Hospitalized After Shooting Self In Montgomery Village: Police

Police said the shooting happened Tuesday afternoon in the 18600 block of Walkers Choice Road in Montgomery Village.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD — A 3-year-old child was hospitalized Tuesday after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Montgomery County police said.

According to a statement on social media, county police responded to a shooting in the 18600 block of Walkers Choice Road shortly before 1 p.m. Police said the toddler was taken to a nearby hospital following the incident.

The child's current condition is unknown.
