Townhouse Fire Draws More Than 65 Firefighters

Montgomery County firefighters are battling a 2-alarm townhouse fire in Gaithersburg impacting three units, according to spokesperson Pete Piringer.

More than 65 firefighters were at the scene in the 19000 block of Cottfield Court on Tuesday afternoon as the fire extended through the walls and ceiling.

The fire impacted the second floor of the units and the attic space. 

Piringer reported at 2:15 that the fire had been knocked down and firefighters continued to work in the three units.
