Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass Visits CCACC

Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass and his team visited the Chinese Culture and Community Service Center (CCACC) on December 17. As a former CNN journalist and executive director of a non-profit organization, Glass applauded CCACCโs work in the community. Glass currently serves on the Health and Human Services Committee and Transportation and Environment Committee.
While touring CCACCโs Adult Day Healthcare Center (ADHC), Glass was surprised by the level and quality of service CCACC offers seniors. He complimented CCACCโs dedication, preparing everything from food to transportation to activities, providing seniors with a friendly, comfortable environment.

Next, Glass visited the Pan Asian Volunteer Health Clinic (PAVHC) and praised them for their wide service offerings. He even promised to help PAVHC obtain more funding from Montgomery County. After seeing CCACCโs Art Gallery and Home Care, Glass commended Ms. Rita Lewi, Art Gallery and Home Care Director, for her volunteer spirit. He also admired the ADHC seniorsโ artwork, currently on display in the Art Gallery.

Afterwards, CCACC Executive Director, Mr. Chih-Hsiang Li, gave a brief presentation, introducing CCACCโs spirit of serving the community and what it has accomplished in its 37 years of service. Glass also participated in the CCACC tradition โBreak the Eggrollsโ before discussing with CCACCโs Division Directors. He showed great interest in healthcare and senior transportation. Glass hopes to work with CCACC to develop a better community and make Montgomery County a comfortable living environment for everyone.
