1 Injured, 2 Suspects Sought After Germantown Grocery Store Shooting
Montgomery County police said the store was filled with customers when the shooting occurred.
GERMANTOWN, MD — Police are searching for two suspects after a person was injured in a shooting that occurred at a Germantown grocery store.
Montgomery County police said the shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. Friday at the Giant Food store located in the 18300 block of Leaman Farm Road.
When police arrived at the store, they found a man inside the store suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, two male suspects entered the store and began chasing the victim through the business. As the victim ran toward the front of the store near the checkout lanes, one of the suspects fired multiple shots, hitting the victim twice.
At the time of the shooting, police said the store was filled with shoppers and employees, and customers began running and taking cover.

Detectives are working to identify the two suspects and are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting inside the store to contact police.
