45-Year-Old Woman Dies In Clarksburg Area Collision: Police

GERMANTOWN, MD — A 45-year-old woman died after a fatal car accident in Clarksburg, according to authorities.

The incident happened in the 11700 block of Hawkes Rd. around 10 a.m. on March 28. Montgomery County Police say a 2013 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Hawkes Road when it collided with a Chevrolet Express 2500 van that was driving westbound.

Investigators have identified the driver of the 2013 Honda Accord as Nancy Soraya Moreno of Damascus. She later died at a local hospital from her injuries, police said.

The driver of the Chevrolet Express 2500 van was identified as 57-year-old David Joseph Dowling, of Germantown. He only suffered minor injuries in the collision, according to authorities.
