AAU Coach Charged With Soliciting Teen for Sex: Police
A Germantown man was arrested on a sex offense when he went to the Rockville Metro Station to meet the person he thought was a 15-year-old.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A Germantown man who is a youth basketball coach has been charged with sexually soliciting a person online he believed was a 15-year-old girl, but was actually a Montgomery County Police officer.
Authorities say Asil M. Din, 44, of the 13000 block of Dovedale Way in Germantown, was arrested this week and charged with sexual solicitation of a minor. He was released after paying a $10,000 bond.
Police officers reviewing postings under the “Casual Encounters” section of Craigslist began an online correspondence with an individual who posted as “Oscar” looking for “a local young lady.” That poster was later determined to be Din, officials said.

A female officer responded to the posting, tellingDin she was 15 years old. The suspect, while concerned about her age, continued to communicate with the undercover officer by email and text, then eventually asked when they could meet in person.
Police say Din wrote that he would like to have sex with the girl on a regular basis, and would pay her $100 each time it occurred. After exchanging several emails, a meeting was arranged on Nov. 8 at the Rockville Metro Station. When Din arrived at the station for the scheduled meeting to pick up the girl, he was arrested.
