Search Underway For Driver Tied To Fatal Poolesville Hit-And-Run

POOLESVILLE, MD — A man is dead after being hit by a car over the weekend in Poolesville, authorities said.

Montgomery County Police said officers were alerted to a hit-and-run shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday, near the intersection of Fisher Avenue and Milford Mill Road.

At the scene, investigators determined that the 27-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in the area of 19630 Fisher Avenue.

He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle has not been located and is believed to have fled the scene from the westbound lanes of Fisher Avenue toward Elgin Road.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
