Burglar Who Broke Into Darnestown School On Surveillance: Police

Police have released surveillance photos and footage of a man they say broke into Butler Montessori School in Darnestown on Dec. 27.

DARNESTOWN, MD — Police have released surveillance photos and footage of a man they say broke into a Darnestown Montessori school on Dec. 27. Authorities hope that the public can help identify the burglar.

Montgomery County Police responded to a burglary said the burglary happened at the Butler Montessori School sometime between 10:44 and 11:23 p.m. on Dec. 27. The school is located at 15951 Germantown Rd.

Police believe that the suspect, who arrived at the school in a vehicle, entered the building through an unlocked classroom door. To date, police said there is no evidence that indicates the suspect stole anything.

The Montgomery County Police Department published the video — embedded at the bottom of this post — that shows the suspect entering, and walking around, Butler Montessori School.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the burglary should call police at 240-773-6084. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
