Chesterbrook Academy Donates Clothing & Food to Local Nonprofits

Students held donation drives to support Manna Food Center and Interfaith Works Clothing Center

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Germantown recently delivered more than 100 pounds of food to Manna Food Center in Gaithersburg to help stock the organization’s shelves and feed community members during the holiday season. During the delivery, students toured the facility and learned how their contributions will be distributed to local families in need. Additionally, students held a clothing drive and donated more than 20 large bags of items to Interfaith Works Clothing Center to benefit children in Montgomery County. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of giving back and helping others.

Manna Food Center works to fight hunger, feed hope and transition Montgomery County residents from a place of scarcity to prosperity by providing safe, sufficient and nutritious food.
