ATLANTA, GA --- Veronica Rwetsiba of Germantown, daughter of Derrick Rwetsiba and Irene Rwetsiba, was named to the Dean's List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., for the 2011 fall semester.
Students must be in the top 20 percent of Emory College or have approximately a 3.81 grade point average or higher to be named to the Dean's List.
Adora Nwankwo Named to Dean's List at Cornell University
ITHACA, NY --- Cornell University's Adora Nwankwo of Darnestown has been placed on the Dean's List of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the Fall 2011 semester.

Monks is a senior at the University of Mary Washington. The Dean's List recognizes outstanding academic achievement at the university by full-time students who attain at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
Germantown Student Makes Miami University Dean's List
OXFORD, OH --- Marie Elizabeth Hickman of Germantown was named to the Miami University dean's list.
Miami University students who achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for first semester 2011-2012 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.
Ryan Seals of Germantown Earns Place On Dean's List At Berklee College Of Music
BOSTON, MA --- Berklee College of Music announces that Ryan Seals of Germantown has earned placement on the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2011 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.
The Berklee curriculum focuses on practical career preparation for today's music industry. Four-year degrees are offered in Performance, Jazz Composition, Music Production & Engineering, Film Scoring, Music Business/Management, Composition, Music Synthesis, Contemporary Writing & Production, Music Education, Songwriting, Music Therapy, and Professional Music.
Local Students Named to Dean's List at Loyola Marymount University
LOS ANGELES, CA --- Loyola Marymount University has announced the students named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester. Among them are several local students:

Students named to the Dean's list have completed 15 semester hours at LMU and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Additionally, a student must have completed all of his or her courses and never received an F in any course.
Area Students Named to Frostburg State University Dean's List
FROSTBURG, MD. --- The following students from the area have been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University in recognition of outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2011 semester. To be eligible, a student must undertake a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Local residents named to Clemson University Dean's List
CLEMSON, SC --- The following local residents have been named to the Dean's List at Clemson University for the fall 2011 semester:

- Matthew Andrea Cocozzella of Germantown, who is majoring in History.
- Andrew Edward Mlynarczyk of Germantown, who is majoring in General Engineering.
To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.
Victoria Ward of Germantown Named to the Fall 2011 Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire
DURHAM, NH --- Victoria Ward of Germantown has earned Honors for the fall semester of the 2011-2012 academic year at the University of New Hampshire.
Students named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hamsphire have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance. Highest Honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.5 to 3.69 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.2 through 3.49 are awarded honors.
Samantha Leschek Achieves Dean's List at TCNJ
EWING, NJ --- Samantha Leschek, a resident of Germantown, has earned the esteemed honor of placement on the Dean's List at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the 2011 Fall semester. To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.

ST. MARY'S CITY, MD --- The following local students were awarded Dean's List honors for the fall 2011 semester at St. Mary's College of Maryland:

New Graduates
Gabriela Nogales Receives Master's Degree from Frostburg State University
FROSTBURG, MD --- Gabriela Nogales of Germantown recently received a Master of Science degree in Applied Computer Science from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Md., during its 139th commencement ceremonies. FSU President Jonathan C. Gibralter conferred nearly 430 undergraduate and graduate degrees at this December commencement.
Wilfridice Chanakira Graduates from Excelsior College
ALBANY, NY --- Wilfridice Chanakira, a resident of Germantown has earned an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing from Excelsior College.
Excelsior College is an accredited, private, nonprofit institution that focuses on the needs of working adults. Its primary mission is to increase access to a college degree for adult learners by removing obstacles to their educational goals.
Aarthi Baskaran Graduates from RIT
ROCHESTER, NY --- Aarthi Baskaran of Germantown graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Master of Science degree in manufacturing and mechanical systems integration from RIT's College of Applied Science and Technology in fall 2011.
