Crash Closes Busy Stretch Of Highway In Germantown
Montgomery County fire crews responded to the crash, where they found a car hanging on the side of a bridge.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A single-vehicle crash shut down a busy stretch of highway in Germantown on Thursday, according to Montgomery County officials.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to the scene around 10 a.m., where they discovered a car that had gone off the road and was left hanging on the side of a bridge. Fire officials reported that at least one person was trapped inside the vehicle.

All lanes of Great Seneca Highway were closed between Mateny Road and Horn Drive while emergency crews worked at the scene.
