UPDATE: Man Found Dead Behind Germantown Hotel, Police Say

The man's body was found behind a hotel in Germantown on Sunday, according to police.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County police have launched an investigation after a body was found in Germantown Sunday.

At about 6:20 p.m., police responded to the 12500 block of Milestone Center Drive for the report of an injured person behind the Extended Stay America hotel. When officers arrived, the man was dead, according to authorities.

"The victim had signs of trauma to the upper body," police said in a statement.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy to determine his cause of death.

Police have not released any more details about the investigation, the man's identity, or the circumstances surrounding his death.

Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment of the suspects. Callers can remain anonymous.
