The 13th annual Chautauqua celebration at Montgomery College’s Germantown Campus will take place from July 7–9. Actors/scholars will portray the historical figures, bringing to life this year’s theme ― The American Civil War: A House Divided.
The Maryland Humanities Council will soon be performing Chautauqua 2011, The American Civil War: A House Divided featuring living history interpretations of Jefferson Davis, Abraham Lincoln, and Harriet Tubman. They will reflect on their ideas and contributions and engage audiences in lively discussion. The FREE event will be at Montgomery College-Germantown. The schedule is as follows:
7:00 PM music / 7:30 PM performance under the tent
