Community College Rivals Face off at Verizon Center

The Montgomery College-Rockville (MC-R) men’s and women’s basketball teams will face the Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) men and women at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Jan. 14. After the Maryland community college rivals face off, the NBA’s Washington Wizards will host the Philadelphia 76ers. Tickets are on sale for admission to all three games. There are also discounted $10 tickets to see the MC-R vs. PGCC game only.

The women’s game tips off at 12:30 p.m. and the men’s game begins at 2:30 p.m. This will be the first time in history that the teams meet at the Verizon Center. The arena will be cleared and fans who purchase tripleheader tickets can return for the Wizards game, which tips off at 7 p.m.

The community college games are open seating and the section you purchase will be for Wizards' game seating. All tickets, excluding the $10 tickets, are for the MC-Rockville vs. Prince George’s Community College games and Washington Wizards vs. Philadelphia 76ers. 

All purchased tickets must be claimed at the Rockville Campus, in the Physical Education Building, Room 236, between noon and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• $80 VIP Seating (open seating for MC games) 
• $40 Section 200 (open seating for MC games) 
• $25 Section 400 (open seating for MC games) 

Special discounted $10 tickets (open seatings) for ONLY the MC-R vs. PGCC games.
