Identity Development: Hearing Children of Deaf Parents

Description: Audrey Frank, clinical social worker, will share intervention strategies for parents, mental health professionals, and school professionals on how to enhance awareness of identity development in hearing children of deaf parents. Technology, educational, and cultural/linguistic needs of hearing children of deaf parents will also be included in the discussion. In addition, Susan F. Cohen, Head of Germantown Library's Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, will briefly introduce library resources and distribute library card registration forms for those who wish to sign up.
