Potomac Library Celebrates Lunar New Year

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) celebrates the Lunar New Year with a variety of free programs in February marking the New Year 4709. Lunar New Year, which starts with the new moon on the first day of the New Year and ends on the full moon 15 days later, began on January 23.

Programs will be held according to the following schedule:

KuangĀ Chinese SchoolĀ will present traditional Chinese Lion Dance, storytelling and paper cutting demonstrations.Ā CallĀ 240-777-0690.

Registration is not required. Unless otherwise noted, programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County, Inc.
