All seniors are expected to be in school on time on Wednesday, October 12 and report directly to the auditorium. We will begin the day with a light breakfast which will be followed by a special class meeting where students will order caps and gowns and have the class panoramic picture taken. Picture forms will be distributed on Monday through English classes. Afterwards we will kick off our "Year of Service" where all students in the senior class will have an opportunity to engage in various service activities. Attendance is mandatory!!
The Class of 2012 will begin a “Legacy of Service” on October 12, 2011. While the rest of the school will be taking the PSAT, seniors will be able to choose from various service projects that will continue throughout the school year. These projects will serve our military, children in area hospitals, senior citizens, and community shelters. In addition to the support these projects will provide in the community, it will give seniors an opportunity to work together, as well as complete or add to their student service learning hours. Students in all grades are welcome to join us throughout the school year.
Our goal is to begin these projects in October and keep them active so that the Class of 2013 can continue our efforts after we graduate. This way the year of service can live on and continue to be a tradition at SVHS. The class of 2012 will leave a legacy at Seneca Valley and in the community showing that we care.
