"Join us as we start a new holiday tradition this year," said BlackRock Executive Director Charlotte Sommers. "BlackRock will present a free holiday concert by the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters & Country Current. Tickets to this free event will be available on December 1. In lieu of purchasing a ticket, we are asking our patrons to bring a non-perishable food item to the concert. All donations will be given to a local food bank."

The quintet's repertoire includes works from the 16th through the 20th centuries, with many of the compositions arranged by its members. Directed by Chief Musician David E. Kolo, horn, the quintet includes Musicians 1st Class Brandon Z. Almagro, trumpet; Christopher M. Sala, trumpet; Colin J. Wise, trombone; and James H. Hicks, tuba.
