Fayth Thomas announces release of ‘Being the Best You!’
Author pens interesting children book that deals with Type 2 diabetes’
GERMANTOWN, Md. – Fayth Thomas has worked as a daycare provided for over a decade. Inspired with a number of children with Type 2 diabetes, Thomas writes and publishes children’s fiction book “Being the Best You!” (published by Xlibris) to echo a significant message, especially to parents who must be careful with the food they are feeding to children.
“Years ago, it was rare to hear about a child with Type 2 diabetes. Now, according to the CDC, more than 208,000 people younger than twenty have this disease,” the author illustrates the importance of dealing with diabetes.
The book follows the story of Darwin, who is naturally curious and caring for others. Throughout the book, Darwin searches for answers in the path of trying to be the person he can be. He cares immensely for his Nanna that has diabetes.
“Being the Best You!” explores diabetes in a way that is simple for children to understand; this book also inspires children to strive for career paths that make a difference in their local community.
“I believe parents are tired of the typical fiction books that only improve the child’s phonics skill and would love this book because it instills morals, values and critical thinking skills,” Thomas adds.
