District Dance Takes a Stand Against Bullying in their SHARE the LOVE Event – September 21-26, 2015 - Germantown, MD

Germantown, MD (September 10, 2015) - Almost 30% of students in grades 6-12 experience being bullied. And of those students, as little as 20% report bullying to an adult.[1]

Bullying happens every day and it happens close to home – even in Germantown, MD. It can be an immensely hurtful experience for a child, with painful memories that linger for years.

District Dance want YOU to join them in their efforts in taking a stand against bullying.

From September 21-26, 2015, District Dance Co is proud to be hosting its first ever SHARE the LOVE dance studio event to take a stand against bullying in Germantown, MD.

During this week, District Dance is inviting dance students to bring a friend to their dance class. They will be opening their doors to the community and holding special events to empower kids to recognize and report bullying. During this week, District Dance will be preaching love and kindness to ALL.

District Dance encourages students to reach out to their classmates who look like they are in need of a friend. Has your child noticed someone sitting alone at lunch or be the victim of name-calling? District Dance wants dancers to show kindness by inviting others to dance class.

At District Dance Co, sharing the love is our way of taking a stand.
