Great Seneca Creek Names New Principal

Scott T. Curry was named principal.

The school year will begin with a new “bullfrog” in the creek at Great Seneca Creek Elementary, home of the bullfrogs.

Scott T. Curry was appointed the school’s new principal, the Montgomery County Public Schools Community Superintendent LaVerne Gray Kimball announced in a letter to parents on June 26.

His first day was July 2.

Prior to the appointment, Curry was the principal intern at Sequoyah Elementary School in Derwood.

Curry has been an educator for 13 years — seven years as a teacher at Clarksburg and Greenwood elementary schools, four years as an assistant principal at Washington Grove Elementary School and two years as an assistant principal and principal intern at Sequoyah, according to MCPS.

Great Seneca Creek’s former principal Gregory S. Edmundson was appointed to serve as principal at Rocky Hill Middle School in Clarksburg, an MCPS spokesman .
