Husband, Wife Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide On Christmas

Police say a man killed his wife before turning the gun on himself on Christmas Day in Damascus.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A husband and wife were killed in an apparent murder-suicide at their Damascus home on Christmas Day, Montgomery County police said.

The violence unfolded Wednesday morning at the couple's residence in the 28900 block of Kemptown Rd. Police said they received a call from a family member who had gotten a distressing call from Bruce Tucker. The 84-year-old reportedly told the family member that he had just shot his wife, Deborah Tucker, 54, and was going to turn the gun on himself.

Officers responded to the home around 7:52 a.m. After repeated attempts to make contact with the residents, police said they entered the home and found the Tuckers suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead on the scene, according to officials.
