Man Assaulted Over Parking Spot In Germantown: Police

Montgomery County Police are looking for a man they say assaulted someone over a parking spot in Germantown earlier this month.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A man accused of assaulting someone inside a Germantown grocery store over a parking space was captured in surveillance photos, which police have released in hopes that the public can help identity the suspect.

According to authorities, the incident happened around 6 p.m. on March 18 at the Shoppers grocery store on Mateny Road. Detectives believe the assault inside the supermarket stemmed from an earlier dispute over a parking spot.

The 21-year-old male victim told officers that he was confronted outside the supermarket by a woman driving a gold Lincoln MKZ. The female driver alleged that he had taken her parking spot. The victim, according to police, apologized and then went inside the store.
