Man Killed In Car Crash Along Northbound Route 355: Montgomery County Police
A Montgomery County man died in a car crash that unfolded along northbound Route 355 Sunday, police say.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — A 62-year-old Germantown man died in a fatal collision Sunday that happened shortly after 4 p.m. in the area of Josiah Henson Parkway and the ramp from northbound Route 355.
Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel and 1st District officers responded to the crash. A preliminary investigation by detectives has determined that a white Audi A4 was traveling eastbound on Josiah Henson Pkwy, when for reasons still under investigation, it was hit by a silver Ford Fusion coming from the northbound 355 ramp. The vehicles collided in the intersection, the Montgomery County Police Department disclosed.
The driver of the white Audi A4 was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the silver Ford Fusion, Noel Henry Powell, was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, the police department reported.
