Investigators say Palacios and his girlfriend -- who is the former girlfriend of Rodriguez-Gaona -- were in the parking lot in front of his residence when the suspect appeared from the rear of the row of townhomes and reporetedly confronted Palacios. The two men argued and Rodriguez-Gaona allegedly stabbed Palacios numerous times with an unknown sharp object, police say.
The suspect then fled the area.
