Montgomery Parks Extends Closures, Cancellations During Pandemic
Montgomery Parks has extended the closure of all indoor facilities due to the coronavirus pandemic.
GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery Parks has extended the closure of all indoor park facilities, and the cancellation of all programming and events, through May 31 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The department said it will provide credit for people currently registered for classes, programs, rentals, and events through May 31.
Parks and trails remain open from sunrise to sunset during the pandemic. All visitors must adhere to social distancing guidelines. That means:

- Don't gather in groups of more than 10 people
- Stay six feet away from others while in parks and on trails
- Don't use playgrounds or any other equipment in parks
- Don't play group or contact sports including basketball, soccer, and baseball
- Don't touch surfaces (i.e., park benches, water fountains, athletic equipment)
