Nashville Recording Artist Returns to Her Roots Near Sugarloaf Mountain to Support Barnesville School
Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences Board of Trustees is hosting an alumni golf outing and evening social, featuring Lexi Peto
Friday, October 13, the Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences Board of Trustees is hosting an alumni golf outing and evening social, featuring a live concert by Barnesville's own, Lexi Peto (Class of 2013). Lexi is an award-winning singer and songwriter, pursuing a recording career and attending college in Nashville, TN. PB Dye Golf Club and The Barnesville School are proud to sponsor Lexi’s return visit to the area.
The PB Dye Golf Club is located at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in Ijamsville MD. The scramble Tournament starts at noon, kids in third grade and older can participate in fun instructional practice games starting at 3:30, and the concert begins at 5 p.m. Non-golfers, fans of Lexi, friends of The Barnesville School, and anyone who likes great music are invited to attend the buffet dinner and concert ($75 adults, $25 under-21) on the PB Dye Veranda.
As an emerging country-pop artist, Lexi's style combines aspects of both pop synth hooks and country licks with deep lyrical meaning. Last year, she electrified the crowd with many of her own songs and a few soulful renditions of current country and pop tunes. This year will also feature songs from her new album “Sunburn” released by Blue Bandana Records.
“PB Dye is the perfect venue for our school alumni and current parents to reconnect, and Lexi provides the perfect soundtrack,” said Barnesville School Board Chair Ed Rothenberg. “Lexi is starting her college career in Nashville where she has been working on her budding music career. We’re thrilled to have her back in Maryland to support the school community that has been her fan base for as long as she could hold a guitar.”
