Occupants of 2 Cars Trade Gunshots on Germantown Street: Police
A Boyds man has been charged with possession of a handgun after people inside two cars traded gunshots in Germantown.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Gunshots traded by people inside two cars on a Germantown street has led to charges filed against one man while police search for other suspects involved in the violent exchange.
Montgomery County Police have charged Nassir Eggleston, 20, of the 21900 block of Ivy Leaf Drive in Boyds, with possession of a handgun.
Multiple callers reported the sounds of gunfire coming from a residential street in Germantown about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses told police that the occupants of two cars shot an each other in the 19300 block of Midridge Road. One of the vehicles was a blue Toyota Corolla and the second involved vehicle was a blue or grey Dodge passenger vehicle. During a search of the area, police found evidence that shots had been fired there, but no victims were located.

A witness soon reported the Toyota Corolla was on Ashworth Court; where officers stopped the car and spoke with the occupants of the vehicle. Officers fond Eggleston inside a home, spoke to him and ultimately recovered a Ruger .40 caliber handgun and other evidence tied to the shooting inside a bag that was in his possession.
Eggleston was arrested and transported to the Central Processing Unit where he was charged with possession of a firearm by a minor (persons under 21). He is being held on a $35,000 bond.
